I spent the last 4 days at a conference. Work, yes, but in a beautiful coastal town in country Victoria, Australia. Did manage to fit in a little beach time! Back to work today AND… it was tough.

Everyone’s a bit cold this weekend. South Australia’s not too bad, but over in the Eastern states it’s a bit chilly, complete with “thundersnow“. I’ve spent the day inside: had a sleep-in, did some laundry, tidied the house, and baked a couple cakes for the boy’s birthday week this week. Tonight we’re heading out for dinner with his family, so hopefully it isn’t too windy and miserable out there! The best thing about wild and “woolly” weather is being able to stay in my comfortable, warm bed, and listen to the wind and rain outside.

The washing machine has just finished and I’m trying to find the motivation to get up and hang it on the airer. Only two more loads to go…

Off interstate for a long weekend! Actually, to be honest, I’m procrastinating re: the packing. But the excitement is still there!

This afternoon I’ve sat and watched three episodes of Buffy whilst doing sudoku and messing around on social media. Then I look at the clock and it’s 4pm and I haven’t really achieved much today… so now I’m about to do a bit of writing… yay. It’s taking much longer than I anticipated. From Slothilda.
Ugh. 15,000 words down and still so far to go. Thesis will be the death of me.
Can I have a break yet?

Over halfway into the week away. Yes I’ve done some work today, but a lot of the time has been like this:
Yesterday the boy and I had a catch up with some friends, one of which is housesitting this MASSIVE place, with tennis court, pool, etc. So yeah, we took advantage of that.
Had a swim, had some drinks, ate some chips, ordered some food, opened some presents.
The boy got given a selfie stick. Need I say more? Much frivolity was had. Also there was an inflatable flamingo. Slothilda Sloth
