Had lunch today with three women who I admire, love, and think the world of. My boss, my best friend, and the girl who was there for me when I was starting out on this journey called medical research.
This last friend became a source of happiness, stress relief, random singing and dancing in the corridors, and stupid lab poems about experiments not working. Now she lives overseas. She has no idea how much she is missed and how different work is without her. 
Long weekend just gone was a busy one! I haven’t posted at all, apologies…
Saturday was an all-day wine tour for a good friend’s hen’s day.
Sunday night I caught up with my best girl who’s just gotten back from a trip overseas. It was sooo good to see her! Had a HUGE Mexican dinner followed by a churros date at Chocolate Taperia.
Then Monday was Australia Day, and our group all spent the day together having a BBQ lunch, playing backyard cricket (new PB woooo) and having a few drinks whilst listening to the JJJ Hottest 100.
Life is better with friends
Oh. My. God. I am LITERALLY IN TEARS. This baby has no idea how lucky she is to grow up with a SLOTH in her life FROM BIRTH.

I went out with some fabulous friends last night; we had delicious gourmet pizza with a bottle of sav blanc, followed by a bottle of sparkling pinot noir at a cocktail lounge, followed by Midoris and beer at a pub playing a bunch of nineties music. It was such a good time! Great way to finish the week off. I love surrounding myself with people who are amazing company and in turn want my company as well. It’s a wonderful feeling!
This morning, however… it took a while for me to drag myself from under the covers, into the shower, and then I didn’t want to leave the hot shower, and then I took ages getting dressed and having breakfast, and now I’m posting at midday and haven’t even done anything yet. Oh dear.

Yesterday (Sunday) was Australia Day, which means that today (Monday) is a public holiday. We took a drive up into the Adelaide Hills for a gorgeous slothy lunch. Yesterday was filled with BBQ, friends, drinks, cricket, tennis, Triple J and more BBQ and drinks.
