Back to Work

I’ve had the last 5 days (including the weekend of course) at home, but went back to work today. It was a pretty good day at work actually, I made a slideshow, finished the first draft of my next paper, and most importantly got some good news on something I’ve been working on for a very long time. One more hurdle and it will be a huge step in my career. Watch this space…

Online shopping and me are totally biffles

Yes, so, Christmas is coming, and I’m about halfway through my Christmas shopping. So far, all except for two things have been purchased online, from the comfort of my couch/bed, with them being sent straight to my door ready for wrapping and putting under the tree (when it eventually goes up).

No busy crowds, no messy lines, no “Oh but your catalogue said you had it in stock! Better drive to another shop”… seriously, it’s the only way to do it. Mainly, the only things I don’t buy online these days are electronics and toys, and that’s mainly due to ease of return. Oh and clothes for myself. And shoes. But OTHER THAN THAT, internet. The best way to go. internetsloth

Open Wide

Just got back from my six-month check-up at the dentist. Ouchies. Hate getting my teeth cleaned. Oh well, all done until mid-2015 now. At least my teeth are looking good!

Amazon Trekking

Just got back from a farewell for one of the boy’s cousins who is going to South America for 10 weeks starting next weekend. So jealous! She and her boyfriend are going to be trekking all over the Amazon and probably seeing all sorts of amazing wildlife, including sloths. They’ve promised me they will take pictures of any sloths they see.
