I changed the wallpaper on my lock screen today to a picture of Chuck the sloth. Now I can’t stop smiling and going “hmmmm” with a closed mouth straight smile (you know the one) every time I look at my phone. TELL ME YOUR HEART HASN’T MELTED YET

Each day I get on the train to make the half hour voyage into San Francisco for work, I am surrounded by people using their phones. Many have iPhones or iPads, and have a setting turned on that lets me send them unsolicited files through AirDrop. Where Apple envisioned it as a way to send useful files and websites to friends and acquaintances, I use it to send photos of sloths to strangers. And not just any sloths, but sloths wearing spacesuits.
Attitude
Just had a lovely but brief visit from my sister, on her way out of the city. She was telling me how her daughter (my niece) has had a bit of attitude lately! Brought this comic to mind. *sigh* they grow up so fast…
No Make-Up Selfie
Everyone is posting No Make-Up Selfies to Facebook to raise breast cancer awareness. I understand the sentiment, but as a breast cancer researcher, can’t really see the point unless you are donating to the cause as well. Keep in mind that dollars make discoveries, but cameras don’t make cures!
