Went to the footy at Adelaide Oval tonight. Doza snuck along too! He even sported (see what I did there) a new guernsey just for the occasion. It was a little fast-paced for him but I think he got the gist. Took him a while to realise that the siren had gone and unfortunately our team lost though. Oh well. I think sloths would like a game more like golf, or lawn bowls… something that puts you to sleep…
Oh wow, it’s been so long since I posted
I’m sorry! After Paris, the wi-fi for the rest of the trip wasn’t that great, and then I got back and have been SO BUSY trying to catch up I just hadn’t got around to posting before now. Also I missed Sloth Week! Last week! Gah! Oh well. From now on I promise I’ll be more diligent in keeping you up to date.
Here’s a few more pics of Doza in Paris. This place was so old and lovely and just different from anything I’ve ever seen. I hope I get the chance to go back there one day. The other amazing thing about Paris was the BAKED GOODS. So many chocolate croissants and baguettes and cakes and macarons and crepes and just everything was so AMAZING! I had pancakes for breakfast on Sunday and it just wasn’t the same…
I come from a country town. Everyone knows everyone. For the last 8 years I’ve lived in the city, but still know my way around here like it was yesterday. This is my cat Sandal (with Doza), who I had to leave behind when I came to Adelaide.
She is the most affectionate cat you will ever meet, loves giving kisses and even after all this time has never forgotten who I am. You can keep your “Dogs are man’s best friend”, her loyalty is unparalleled and I always miss her when I go home.
But! I have my sloths! (And, I suppose, a boyfriend too 😉 )
It’s Doza’s 5th birthday today! To celebrate I got him a hibiscus flower to nom and we are having a Meet the Sloths marathon this weekend. I might even bake some sloth cupcakes.
So apparently sloths love hibiscus flowers. I found one on the walk back from the beach today and gave Doza a special treat!
