So I’m in the middle of rereading Harry Potter at the moment, and halfway through The Goblet of Fire came across this SLOTH reference! I love JKR, but disagree with her that looking like a sloth is an insult!

Hang around just like a sloth and get to know the delightful residents of the Avarios Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica, the world’s largest sloth orphanage. You’ll fall in love with bad-boy Mateo, ooh and ahh over baby Biscuit, and want to wrap your arms around champion cuddle buddy Ubu!
From British filmmaker and sloth expert Lucy Cooke comes a hilarious, heart-melting photographic picture book starring the laziest—and one of the cutest—animals on the planet.
Bitch magazine (Issue 58 from Spring 2013, USA) cover features sloths shooting laser beams from their eyes. EPIC.

This week my Grandma celebrated her 76th birthday. To honour her, I sat down and read this book: “Grandmother Sloth; How She Got Her Smile”, available to buy on Amazon.com.
Grandmother looked up with a pleasant expression and told JJ and Maria a story about an ancient time when sloths were fast and had no smile.
Ermegerd. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS.
Dumbledore Sloth by S. Watercolour.
What better combination? Yes, I’m not ashamed to admit I’m quite a bit of an H-P nerd.
From S. Watercolour.
High in the thick mangrove trees, a baby sloth clings to his mother. As he grows, the young sloth learns what leaves are best to eat, and where to climb the treetops to bask in the sunshine after frequent rains. But the sleepy sloth never leaves the safety of the trees. It isn’t until his mother finally deserts him that the lonely young sloth must discover the world below all by himself. From Amazon.com.
