This is such a cute little book by Charlotte Zappulla! Sloth in the City is about Stanley the sloth, who just moved to New York City.
This slow sloth in the big city is looking for a place he will fit in!

Sam Trull, the photographer, sloth rehabilitator (including being involved in the famous 1st-ever sloth C-section), and creator of my favourite blog Primatography (also on Tumblr) is now trying to publish her beautiful “Slothlove” photobook.
Slothlove is a 100-page art-and-photography book full of beautiful sloth photos, inspirational stories and interesting sloth facts.
“For Slothlove, I have compiled my absolute best sloth photos and paired them with inspirational stories of survival, heartbreaking tales of loss, and interesting sloth facts; my goals are to help people appreciate these amazing animals for more than their obvious cuteness and to inspire a desire to help protect all wildlife and natural habitats.”
Through the crowd-funding site Inkshares, Slothlove is available to preorder NOW. Once the goal of $11,000 is reached (it’s already at 90%!) the book can be published. There’s only a week left, so GET ORDERING! Prices start at just $15.
Started reading JKR’s pseudonym novel (under Robert Galbraith) The Cuckoo’s Calling today. Don’t normally go for crime stories but in this case I can make an exception HP Trolley Witch with Chocolate Sloths! By S. Watercolour.
Lucy Cooke, author of A Little Book of Sloth and The Power of Sloth, wrote this awesome article for The Idler: http://idler.co.uk/article/lucy-cooke-on-the-amazing-sloth/
It wasn’t until the seventeenth century, after years of arguing, the Holy powers-that-be finally decided on its definitive top seven sins. And sloth snuggled in at number four…
It was thanks to celebrated French naturalist Georges Buffon that the moniker really stuck, when he became the first person to scientifically describe the sloth in 1749: ‘Slowness, habitual pain, and stupidity are the results of this strange and bungled conformation. These sloths are the lowest form of existence. One more defect would have made their lives impossible.’
Go and look at these Book covers replaced by sloths… If these books actually existed, I would read them all straight away. Except I think I’d be opposed to “The Fault in Our Sloths”.
